It's Te Wiki o te REO MĀORI in Aotearoa NZ. So this is some te reo that I put with a 360 degree panorama of one of Tai Tokerau's most iconic pā. Maunga Whiria is remembered as not only the pā occupied by the eponymous Ngāpuhi ancestor Rāhiri but it is also spectacularly the site of one of the original explorers of Aotearoa KUPE himself. The Tahitian tūpuna left two taniwha to guard the Hokianga harbour that we are looking out on in this image: Ārai te Uru and Niniwa. I hope you spend more time looking at ēnei kupu Māori than the pākehā description here ne!
